Just the basics to open the card. Everything else you fill in as you go.
Reviewer's script and assessment card. The quoted lines are what you say — they stay on screen and never print. Failure of any single item fails the review.
OK no error MIN minor MAJ major CRI critical — fails the item
Inconsequential to completing the task. Example: overshoots the landing area by a few feet and recovers safely.
May lead to an undesired aircraft state or a reduced safety margin. Example: overshoots the landing by about twenty feet.
Mismanaged action or inaction that leads to an undesired aircraft state or compromises safety. Example: overshoots by about thirty feet and nearly hits a person. This is a failure.
Worked out from the item grades. A critical error on any item fails the review.
“Let’s step over here for a moment. I’m going to give you the result, and then we’ll go through it.”
Give the pass or fail verbally and straight away, in private. On a failure, work through strengths and weaknesses rather than reading out a list of faults.
